Our mission is to “create new value for our customers through products and services of superior quality, and to contribute towards a better and more sustainable world.”
Besides establishing a procurement policy that guides how we work together with suppliers in meeting our corporate social responsibilities, we have also set up a dedicated hotline for suppliers to report concerns and complaints, with the aims of further strengthening our sustainable procurement and promoting fair and equitable business practices.
Supplier hotline
1. Objective
2. Scope
Suppliers dealing with any SATO Group company can file reports on SATO employees and management team for actual or suspected unlawful conduct or non-compliance with our sustainable procurement policy and its guidelines.
3. Our commitment
- Relevant departments will investigate the reports received to verify facts and take corrective actions promptly if necessary.
- We will seek the whistleblower’s consent to start the necessary investigations. Exceptions may apply to this consent requirement, however, for incidents that involve public interest or affect the company materially.
- We will take reasonable steps to protect the whistleblower’s privacy, using information provided solely for investigation purposes.
- We do not condone false or malicious allegations that are intended to intimidate, damage reputations or disrupt operations.
- We will protect whistleblowers from detrimental treatment as a result of their reports. This does not apply, however, to whistleblowers who make false or malicious allegations or are found to be complicit in the very incidents they are reporting.
4. Filing a report
- If you are a SATO supplier, please submit any concerns or complaints using only our online reporting form. This will help us manage the information efficiently and securely.
- We encourage whistleblowers to provide real names in order to facilitate contact for further clarification. Please also provide your company and department information and email address, together with a detailed account of what happened.
- Whistleblowers can choose to report anonymously. However, please note that doing so may limit the scope of our investigations.
- Please note that we do not update whistleblowers on the investigation outcomes and corrective actions taken unless deemed necessary.
5. Handling of personal data
Any personal data that whistleblowers disclose will be used strictly for the purpose of investigations and follow-up corrective actions. For more details, please refer to our privacy policy.
By using the reporting form, you agree that you have read and understood the information listed above.
