Harmony with Nature

The SATO Group works to preserve biodiversity through forest conservation and green procurement, in line with multilateral environmental agreements, UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the laws and national strategies in the countries we operate. 

SATO has been sponsoring pockets of forestland in Japan since 2014, and was recently certified as a contributor to the Tokyo forestation program for carrying out forestry tending that would aid in 74.25 metric tons of CO₂ absorption (projected amount) over a five-year span. We will continue activities to restore and conserve forests to ensure a sustainable supply of raw materials for our label products.

Employees from SATO Asia Pacific and SATO Global Business Services volunteered to plant trees as part of the Singapore National Parks Board's OneMillionTrees movement, contributing to the development of a better and more sustainable world.
