The SATO Group actively gives back to local communities in line with our mission to contribute toward a better and more sustainable world.
Playing our part in the world
Supporting biodiversity
SATO France built beehives on its company premises using recycled materials. Urban beekeeping pollinates local agriculture, raises awareness about ecology and produces honey that participating employees can enjoy as a special gift.
In Poland, SATO Europe employees organized a donation drive for a local animal shelter, collecting over 160 kg of food and essential supplies to help homeless animals.
Environmental protection
SATO Asia Pacific and SATO Global Business Services joined the WWF Earth Hour Festival 2025 in Singapore to learn more about climate change and the importance of energy conservation. Employees practice what they have learned by continuing to power down non-essential lights in the office during lunchtime even after the Earth Hour event.
In celebration of World Environment Day on June 5, employees from SATO Auto-ID Malaysia took part in a coastal cleanup initiative, collecting more than 10 bags of trash and gaining a deeper understanding of the impact plastic waste has on the ocean and marine life.
Helping the disadvantaged
SATO Label Solutions (Indonesia) made donations that brought happiness and warmth to children living in an orphanage.
During the holiday season, SATO Vietnam Solutions helped spread a message of hope and kindness with Christmas presents for pediatric cancer patients in Ho Chi Minh City.
At Prakolar SATO (Brazil), employees collect and donate their used plastic bottle caps to Tampinhas que Curam, an NGO that supports the cancer treatment of children and adolescents.
SATO Corporation collects plastic bottle caps from across its offices in Japan and donates them to JCV (Japan Committee, Vaccines for the World’s Children), an NPO that funds immunization programs for children in developing nations.
Disease awareness
SATO France held an interactive workshop for employee health education during the breast cancer awareness month in October while SATO UK conducted a fundraising campaign for Macmillan Cancer Support.
SATO Healthcare participated in the Gold Ribbon Walk in Tokyo to raise awareness for childhood cancer and support children with cancer and their families.
Blood drives
With the help of Singapore Red Cross, SATO Asia Pacific and SATO Global Business Services arranged a group trip to the Health Sciences Authority for employees to donate blood at its blood bank.
