Environmental Policy

The SATO Group recognizes environmental protection as a concern common to humankind and works to realize a sustainable world through its business activities.

1. We comply with all laws, regulations and requirements concerning environmental protection and strive to reduce environmental risks and prevent pollution.

2. We take actions aimed at mitigating environmental impact and help conserve the environment through our eco-friendly products and services.
3. We conserve energy used in our business activities while expanding use of renewable energy to reduce our carbon footprint.
4. We reduce waste, promote recycling and lower water use for sustainable consumption of natural resources.
5. We properly manage chemicals used in our products and at our factories to prevent pollution.
6. We seek to conserve bio-diversity, recognizing that our business activities benefit from and impact ecosystem services. We participate in community activities for conserving environment, bio-diversity and ecosystems as part of our efforts to involve more with society.
7. We continue to implement and update our environmental management systems and maintain their effectiveness.
8. We urge all our employees to adhere to our environmental policy and action guidelines by raising their awareness and keeping all involved.
9. We strive to enhance sustainability not just in our own operations but throughout the supply chain as well, asking our partners to cooperate in our actions to reduce environmental impact.
10. We promptly disclose information and actively engage in dialogue with stakeholders.
