SATO, a leading global provider of Auto-ID solutions that empower workforces and streamline operations, and Bizcaps Software, a provider of rapid-deployment business process management software, announced today that SATO’s web-direct printing technology has been integrated with Bizcaps Enterprise, a medical product information management (PIM) tool. Bizcaps Enterprise users now enjoy full compatibility with select SATO printers and are able to easily print medical product labels in compliance with Australian regulatory requirements.
Bizcaps supports many leading companies across industries, helping reduce costs through enhanced supply chain efficiency and to improve patient safety using product data validation and synchronization based on GDSN and GS1 standards.
“With the incorporation of SATO’s Auto-ID technology into Enterprise, Bizcaps users now have an integrated, standardised and on-demand product labeling solution,” said Rob Clifton-Steele, CEO of Bizcaps Software. "This means that users save time, reduce errors and increase their productivity.”
In 2014, SATO established SATO Healthcare to fully support the special needs of the medical field. Leveraging its accumulated experience and knowledge in tracking goods, it has rapidly grown its market share, particularly within the medical device industry, which utilizes SATO’s unique PJM RFID technology.
“Australia sets the direction for the world in many cases,” said Hiroyuki Konuma, President of SATO Healthcare. “One driving factor is the high wages in Australia that require businesses to really push operational efficiencies. The country was quick to adopt RFID technology for medical supply chains, and Bizcaps’ Enterprise medical PIM solution is another example of that kind of forward thinking. It provides both medical product suppliers and hospitals with a new level of efficiency. We are honored to play an important role in the solution as a technology partner and are confident the system will greatly benefit clients and streamline their operations.”
